All the play second half (wind assisted). Wasted chances. They get one chance (90th minute) (another defensive slip) and score. Well taken goal though. At 1-1 there was only going to be one winner and that was us.

Maidenhead winning at Thurrock adds to the woe. Still in with a shout though no matter how hard it seems.

Rocky had good game, missed a couple, but Che missed a one-on-one which was the easiest chance of the day.

Team however all did well and give them ALL credit today. Tried hard all of them but we just dont seem to get the run of things at the moment. First half rode our luck with poor finishing by opposition but second half justice wasn't done.

Agree, Cookie, wholeheartedly, with the above.

Feeling disconsolate, but I am not ready to admit defeat yet, we still have a chance and there were some good things to take away from the game today.

I also want to give maximum credit to Greg for coming on today and doing his utmost. Even unfit he made his mark, and I hope his operation goes well and give him best wishes for a speedy return to fitness and form.

OK, 21st then but it is still mathematically possible for us to stay up and until that changes I refuse to give up hope.

That is partially because it is not good for me to be miserable every weekend, because then I go back to work with a real cob on and the rest of the week is ghastly too.

I'll go and have a medicinal large bucket of wine now.

By the bye, Legend, where are your lucky pants when we need them? Get 'em on!

I know I'm probably blinkered but we do seem to have been very unlucky in recent weeks. Losses to Carshalton, Hornchurch, St Albans and Dorchester by the odd goal in games that could have gone either way. The team have worked hard throughout and haven't look outclassed by teams much higher in the league (Grays aside). Some players have been criticised for defensive slips that have cost goals but I saw a far worse error by Glen Johnson against Bayern the other night that he got away with, so we really do seem not to have had the rub. Oh well I guess that's what makes the game entertaining - at least I wont have to spend time and money on travelling to games next season to enjoy another emotional rollercoaster of a season!

I thought that Dorchester were one of the least impressive teams to have come to Homelands. Can see why their defense has leaked 70 goals this season. Full of panic at the back. Didnt think our defence could be matched by anyone but under real pressure they will concede even more goals before the season ends. Shame we couldnt capitalise on that aspect yeasterday when we had them under the cosh for almost the entire second half.
