All over?

Recommended Posts

Although it feels like it now, Yeading still have to do the business and hold on. If we win all 5 games (long shot), they still need 8 points to win the league. Thats 3 wins, or 2wins and a draw from 4 games, which is still a big ask.

Although its not likely that well win all 5 games, we are good enough to do, we know that were perfectly capable, weve done similar things before. Lets not give up just yet, im sure Justin and the boys havent. Come on you blues.

Forgot to say, we still havent lost at home since Leyton, and if we hold onto second place (quite likely as Eastleigh and Boretree drew 0-0), then well have to home play off games. Its gonna be hard for anyone to beat us at our place in those games, so we still have a great shot at going up. Looks like if we do we could meet Canvey sooner than we thought!

Thats what i was trying to say.

Bookies see it as a one horse race

Yeading 1/20

Billericay 8/1.

Then again, what the fk do they know? Next Saturday is obviously going to be key. Were quite capable of beating Slough away, although its quite a while since weve played a 'proper' away game. Our mates Chelmsford are on a bit of a dip, but im sure theyre capable of doing us a favour, and Yeading wont relish another trip to New Lodge. If results go our way next week its still up for grabs.

It is never over until the final whistle on the final day.

Still a lot of points to play for and with the introduction of the Play Offs keeps the league open until the final whistle.

So come on let's continue our great support and get behind the Blues, how better to start at Slough on Saturday by booking your seats now on the coach.

I wouldn't put your team down, we're thinking that it won't be that easy for Yeading...You did the business for us against Boretree...1 all....not bad...time to help us along again <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Their message board is like a car crash. You cant help read all the threads, but doing so is not very enjoyable. Never seen so much toffery on a football message board in my life. For example.

"My prerequisite for the provision of the information you have quite reasonably, in my view, requested, Gary, is that you justify, with examples, the latter part of your last, edited posting in this string."

"THE FACT THAT THIS IS YOUR STATED OPINION OF ME AND MY POSTINGS TENDS TO LEAD ME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT MY MESSAGEBOARD PERFORMANCES OF LATE ARE EVEN-HANDED AND CONSISTENT. I NOTE THE HINT YOU GIVE OF "MATES'S SYNDROME" IN YOUR REFERENCE TO "LAUGHING STOCK", GIVEN THE FACT THAT THIS TERM TENDS TO BE USED IN A GROUP CONTEXT.... "

"MAY I RESPECTFULLY REFER YOU, GARY, TO "WAYNE MAGNUSSON: ENGLISH IDIOMS" IN WHICH HE DEFINES THE TERM "LAUGHING STOCK" AND PROVIDES AN EXAMPLE OF ITS USAGE THUS-

the laughing stock - the person everybody is laughing at - If you ride a camel to work, you'll be the laughing stock of the town.

IN OTHER WORDS THE LAUGHING NEEDS TO BE CARRIED OUT BY MORE THAN ONE PERSON. I.E. IF JUST THE ONE PERSON IS DOING THE LAUGHING THEN THE PERSON OR THING BEING LAUGHED AT CANNOT, BY DEFINITION, BE "A LAUGHING STOCK" "

Jesus wept....

And i thought all football fans were meant to be thickos. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Obviously they have a better education in Chelmsford...and have to sit and pass an exam to support Chelmsford City (it isn't). After that, you are given a diploma and told that you have to take a further exam after two years of pitching up. After that, a ceremony is held, whereby the "leader" of the "lodge" (known as the High Donkey) grants you to join the inner circle of Chelmsford City (it isn't) supporters lodge...er, I mean, club. This has many benefits, recognisable coded handshakes, trips to Billericay and of course, you can post your messages on the forum...Remember, these have to be in code...

That's not at all bad, Gazza! You've got all the makings for being a regular on our forum.

Can't really fault oure lads..got quite a few injuries at the moment but we due a good result so may yet peg 'em back a point (or three) for you.

Perhaps those not able to travel to Slough may like to come along and add a bit of support?
