their league table has us in 15th with 47 points, goal difference +1 after 35 games, still with 4 in hand

a 7th place finish is still possible at most if we win all of our games, but looking at the recent form that is unlikely

Team was Parkin, Carbon, Murphy, Daly, Saulsbury, Wilkinson, Metcalfe, Mason, Hodges, Murphy, Cann. A game of few chances with the best falling to Mets who took an air shot from six yards and a scramble in the first half which the Hendon fans couldn't believe we missed.

Team was Parkin, Carbon, Mi Murphy, Daly, Saulsbury Hodges (Steer), Wilko, Mason, Cann (Miller), Ma Murphy, Mets.

Not a great game in windy conditions. Had the better of the first half and near the end of it looked like scoring. Mets mistimed a shot after a flick-on when well placed. Later a shot from Josias was spilled by their keeper, Cann's follow up shot was saved and Mason's next shot after a touch from Matt Murphy hit the post when we should have scored.

Second half a non-event, they had a couple of long range efforts with one of the Bubb's brothers on as a sub going close. Deserved draw and has stopped the run of defeats.

2 points now needed for safety

Not a classic but it wasn't exactly dire either. Shame we did not manage to take one of those chances before half time to snatch the points but it was nice to see us look relatively untroubled at the back. Midfield looked much better today with living legend that is Wilko alongside Mets.
