Yeah, well they're thick, you could hardly expect those morons to recognise a quality player. Bentley and Eastwood have done expectionally well for a Southend side, who now top the table. Full credit to an ex NL manager who was prepared to take a chance on them. How many more NL players would make it given the chance?

1 season - not much of a show of loyalty from a player with a history of injuries at the time.

He signed for one season and he was the best player we had for that season, what more do you want?

Loyalty only seems to work one way at this club. If a player has a bad patch everyone gets on their back and wants them replaced yet if a player does well and another club comes in for them we consider them disloyal if they leave.

He was a class above in his 1 season with us, and he more than anuone kept us in the conference that season

Agree to some extent WW, he was a class player & earned us a few points that year but if anyone kept us up it was Wilko who`s displays in many back-to -the-wall games gave us vital points. I believe MB also missed about 6 autumn weeks with an injury.
