Dear Mark

 

I would like to take this opportunity of expressing my extreme gratitude to you, on behalf of my son Danny, who you kindly invited last Saturday to be part of the match build up.

Danny was made very welcomed by you, Paul Rogan and Steve Brice prior to the match and at no time did we feel we were in the way, in which is obviously the busiest period of your football week.

I would also like to express my gratitude to Neil Finn, who warmed up with Danny on the pitch as part of his pre-match build up.

You also kindly allowed Danny to sit with you and the substitutes in the dug out during the match, and as part of his further education, he picked up a few new words.

I also had the privilege of meeting with Ron May and Steve Gardner, who made us feel very welcome as well.

In the times of the media reporting nothing but bad coverage regarding professional footballers, you and your staff were not only a credit to Romford Football Club but football as a whole.

You did not have to invite Danny on Saturday, but did so as a whole hearted and meaningful gesture, which says a lot for your character and the ethos of Romford Football Club, to which you can add two new supporters.

I now hope this appearance of Danny in a Romford kit, with be the first of many in the future.

I would finally like to end by wishing you and all at Romford Football Club, the very best for the future, in everything you are aiming for, because the personnel at Romford deserve it and displayed what a local community club is all about.
