You sad whining individuals!! I cannot believe what I'm reading on this message board! I'm sure our management put out a side that they thought could win on Wednesday night. Some of the players on show were not even that weak. Two first teamers were suspended. One, at least was sufficiently injured, with others rested as they would have been with even just a league match on Saturday. At least 5/6 of the team are in and around the first team normally - Hakim, Abraham, Forbes, Cracknell, Riches, Gilman (just back from injury).

Even if the side was a completely different XI to what was fielded in the Trophy then so what?! We were well within our rights to field whatever team we like, with the decent sized squad we've got. Besides, a lot of the problem, from what I've heard from both Newport and Stortford fans, as I wasn't actually at the match, was that the 'keeper fielded on the night is our 3rd choice, with our usual back-up 'keeper injured, was nowhere near good enough.

And anyways, it's a mans game. Why on Earth should we be thinking about your poor selves, or Carshalton, or Maidenhead or any other strugglers?! Sport is a dog-eat-dog business, where number 1 has to come first. Learn the facts.

I was feeling sorry for you, given the fact that (I can only assume) the reason for your plight is largely financial. After this unneccessary fuss I'd quite like you to go down. In fact, I'd quite like you to go down on the final day, with us sending you down!!
