Wednesday 6th April 2005

 

 

 

 

In the High Court Of Justice today at the Strand in London, the following orders were made by the Registrar in the Companies Court -

 

1 The petition of George Borg to wind up Hornchurch Football Club Limited was rejected.

 

2 Hornchurch Football Club Limited has been granted a moratorium to protect it from any further legal actions.

 

3 During the moratorium period, the club is ordered to regularise its remaining outstanding financial obligations to the satisfaction of its majority of creditors.

 

The club remain in discussions with its Shareholders, Accountants and Lawyers with regard to resolving the few remaining creditor issues and will make a further announcement in that respect in due course. All options now remain open to us.

 

The club would like to thank all Companies and Individuals, especially its staff and fans, both from Hornchurch Football Club and throughout Non League Football, who have supported it during the recent difficult months as it seeks to retain its current league status and to regularise its affairs.
