Leyton 1 Yeading 2

Recommended Posts

Really would've been (that shoul be "could've been") a different result if Leyton believed in themselves and attacked from the first minute. They left their no. 9 as the only attacking player and defened far too deep.

In the secong half they changed it and caused Yeading some problems, hence the goal but Yeading looked as if they were stuck in 2nd gear and could raise it at any time...

Enertaining game though...

10 'Ricay supporters there...seriously put the Yeading numbers under pressure...I did see one man and his dog...And the dog looked like a mangy mutt as well!!!

Leyton were the architects of their own downfall playing one up top and defending their 6 yard line. After some early Leyton pressure Yeading eased into a two goal lead (Telemaque and Haule)and were cruising.

In the second half Leyton were the better side and pulled one back through the hardworking and oft isolated Manny Williams. Yeading were restricted to their swift counter attacks and DJ hit the post from one of these. Leyton had a number of opportunities to grab a point but sadly couldnt take one.

It's clear that attack is the best form of defence againsy Yeading. I hope they realise that in the return game.

Noticed Braintree were involved in another 0-0. People will start suggesting they're boring soon....
