Losing after 45 Seconds N/T

My mortgage on us staying up. Is that what I said? Just shows you how much I know. Whilst I still maintain we wont go down I have to admit that on tonights performance we are looking like a doomed team. Forget those two late goals, because we didnt deserve anything from the game, absolutely nothing. I can see that the players are giving their all but without any skill or ball control or the talent to make simple passes then we are up against it in reality. Tonights performance was abysmal. The one thing that still leads me to think that we could still stay up is the very fact that we got two goals when we shouldn't have and that even though we should have been more than three goals down we still only lost out marginally in the end.Well as far as the scoreline shows.Just a fraction more luck and brain power(because I seriously believe that some players forget to use their noddle at times)we COULD still get out of this mess. Its going to be damned hard now but we are still in there with a shout. LETS NOT GIVE UP ALTOGETHER JUST YET.

Well done to all those that encouraged the team. You all did your bit well. You did all you could.

IT MIGHT NOT HAVE BEEN A GREAT PERFORMANCE BUT THEY GAVE THEIR ALL .

Cookie. I admire your optimism but even you have to admit after tonight's shocking performance for 75 mins (the worst for some time) we will be going down. We have no more players to bring in and it is clear that those we have are not of the quality required. For such an important game it was so disappointing to see so many awful performances (Sasha the exception). St Albans seemed so much more up for it and motivated than us - why? In CK's defence the team more or less picks itself and there are players who are clearly not fully fit having to turn out week in week out but having said that why does he persist with Clarke, largely ineffective in midfield and Alex, totally out of his depth at full back. They should swap roles. And as for Rocky what another 5 star performance he gave . At least he is our most consistent player - consistently poor - how did he miss the target from 3 yards in the first half and there was another woeful skied shot when through one on one in the 2nd half. I just cannot see what he brings to the team. If he does have to play then we would be better with che up front and rocky in the middle. Sorry to be so negative guys but tonight was soooooooo disappointing. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Despite my continued support for CK , i think he lost us the game tonight.

Yet again Charamb. at full back and what do we get-3 mistakes from Charambulous all resulting in goals conceded.

The first after 40 seconds when he cannot clear the easiest of balls.

Then he makes a mistake on the left and gives ball away and they score.

In second half loses possession in midfield and we are 3-0 down.

But CK picks the side and there are alternatives-(including playing with 10 men only)Alex can play in midfield but not defence,so i lay responsibility with CK for that one.

It was amateur night at the pictures all round.

Someone coming on the pitch to berate the linesman-club deserve to be fined for that.

Sasha leaping into crowd as though he had saved us from relegation-ok-youthful exuberance, but made worse by the crowd thinking he did not deserve to get booked-frankly imo he should have been sent off.

Then imediately after a defeat that probably confirms relegation to some hidden depths of the football pyramid,he is off doing sprints and laughing as though nothing has happened(in fairness a few others were distraught on the pitch).

A £2 programme which is a reprint from 4 weeks ago-now in the clubs current financial position i don't mind that- as long as it comes with a simple apology and request for understanding-maybe an announcement over the PA would have been appreciated.

We like to think we are reasonably 'professional' as a club and as supporters but that was an embarrassment all round tonight.

Then we have Trego making two more excellent saves but equally taking ridiculous risks on clearances-why take the chances-can't CK install some discipline into him or is it just a game with the defence to make poor and uneccessary backpasses to see ' Flash Pete ' get out of trouble

We played and acted like a sunday morning pub side.(apart from Barnett and Smith who were outstanding and Gradley who tried hard and unlike most did not misplace many passes

Someone needs to take this club by the scruff of the neck, shake it up and give it some proper leadership.

Unfortunately money talks, so rightly those with the investment can continue to run the amateur show

Casualness is spreading like the plague through every aspect.Everything seems a laugh but to me its all a bit serious.

Defeat i can accept, but not the casualness surrounding many on and off pitch aspects-not all of which have a financial cost attached-just a bit of of business acumen and leadership .

Yes i am a grumpy old man tonight, but more than anything just embarrassed at what i have witnessed.

MFC-you know i love you but i just can't take any more

I think the club will defo get fined. for all they can assume is that the lino was in a position where he could have been assulted. (not that he would have done) but thats how they will see it

St Albans keeper said to the fans behind the goal after the 3rd goal went in, your in a religation battle your defence should not be putting your keeper under constant pressure, he was totally correct. how many times did we have the ball in mid only to be shoved back to pete......

i though smith was like a rock he was all over the park left then right only so much 1 player can do, i thought barnet was ok, and bill was absent from most of the play, and alex well less said the better, poor game throughout..

tonight i witnessed many things i wish never to see at a gate game again. on and off feild.

I don't see why the club should be fined for Cookie coming onto the playing area. You can't have stewards every few feet around the pitch. The responsibility for what Cookie did is his and his alone. Punish him, not the club.

And as for Sasha, a straight red card for jumping into the crowd would be absurd. A booking was correct. And to call the Ryman League the "hidden depths of the football pyramid" is also silly. Have you only started watching us since we got into the Conference? Stop being so melodramatic, Michael.

My actions were wrong and a personal apology has already been forwarded to the club. MM you are correct in most of what you say except that the fans(apart from me) acted extremely well and gave the team every encouragement. Do not deflect from their good work with the action of one person.

Please try and think more positively regardless of the state of play. Its not easy I know but we have to believe.

My actions were way out of character and had it not been for some terrible decisions all through the game from an official I would not have been so annoyed. Again, however I was wrong to go to this person and tell him face to face what my feelings were. I do not apologise for my words but do apologise for the intrusion onto the pitch. If the club feel it correct to punish me then I will accept anything they deem fit.

Hi chaps.

Yes we had a dream start, but we were workmanlike last night against a side that played very poorly for 80 minutes. A porous defence is a detail. You had some class players out there and there wasn't a lot of sweat on them. Stadhart and Baptiste need the ball in order to use it. I know Barnett to be a very good player but there was no leadership in defence.

I thought they played like a side looking to finish mid-table. Nothing in it, so going through the motions.

Good luck for the run-in from me.

We have badly missed John Keister and Greg Oates. Keister because he wins tackles in midfield (and holds the defence together when he has played at the back) and Oates because of his work on the right side (he is an important outlet when we go forward). We deserved nothing last night, but, having said that, had Rocky taken a couple of golden chances, we would!

its easy to say that nothing could be gained from that tony i,m surprised you did it but these things tend to happen when things are desperate.

the sasha booking was absurd. to me it shows how comitted he is. It was ok to me to do that at that time he had just scored twice and given us a chance.

The micky mouse defending from yes non defenders will cost us dear. The players are out of position. Remember no green. darron annon oatsy all defenders

Lets just stick in there like CK is. We will probably concede in the last four games but at least we have scored in the last two.

Its a nightmare i know. How do think i and others like me feel when you saw a meteoronic rise with everything great and then off field things [****!!****] it up. But then its not nice for anybody. Stick with it get back to Hartsdown with a new ground same manager and rebuild with hopefully some money to do it.

Which league. Not yet decided. If we lose sat plus Eastbourne then Ryman but quite franky although its a so call ed lower league the standard i suggest will be the same.
