Gertch - I finally got the info through this morning about the American Independence Day Ball in July. (This is actually on Saturday 2nd rather than the 4th, which is a Monday)

 

Are you still up for going? Tickets are £110 but that includes a four course meal and I think there are one or two guest speakers too.

 

Thought we could meet down the Conservative Club first for a few beers and a couple of frames of snooker, and then head into London late afternoon??

I'm not sure - I wrote off for my info and it arrived this morning. I only found out about myself from my mate Tom (not Libro or Hooded Man!), whose dad works at the American Embassy.
