When Matty Miller came on saturday he looked awesome. I know he only had three minutes on the pitch but if he was given longer who know's. I think he should be given a run with this fixture pile up slough have. He is better than the headless chicken Dan Cann its more like Dan Cant.. Cluck Cluck

With the form Matt Murphy and Seedel are showing, he isn't going to get a first team place for a while. Especially with Hodges coming back from injury.

I hope eddie gives Dan Cann a chance as he looks quite good from what I've seen of him (in the reserves!)

yeah i think dan cann is a name for next season and will be our top scorer as we are consistent of having a diff one every season although seedal will give him a run for his money.

I too would like to see Matty have a run in the 1st team as he is banging in goals for fun in the reserves.

How on earth can anyone look awesome in three minutes?! I'm not sure he touched the ball did he? You obviously weren't at Heybridge when Dan's positive play in the final few minutes earned us the win in the away leg of the Bryco semi-final.

 

Whilst I'd also like to see Matty given a longer run, Eddie and Mickey see the players twice a week in training and on matchdays and reserve games so they are the best judges of who should be in or out.

I have more of a problem with Seedal at the moment being in the team and not Dan Cann. On Saturday, I thought Seedal's first touch was poor and maybe he needs a rest to get sharp again. He is the kind of player that will keep plugging away until he's got nothing left so I reckon he could do with a spell out of the team. Both him, Dan Cann and Matt Murphy are too similar. At least the Milfer offers something different.

i wouldn't call Seedel and Murphy similar payers. Seedel works for the ball whereas Murphy just stands there and waits for the ball to be passed to him! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Seedel and Murphy are both good individual players, but I don't think they make a good front pair. Not sure they are similar, its just they don't compliment each other.

I agree, they're both physical forwards, especially Seedel, would be better (in my humble opinion) to place one of them with a smaller, slightly pacier forward a la Miller perhaps?

I would like to see either Hodges, Seedel or Murphy along side Dan Cann, i think there's a hatful of goals to be had that way

Fan of Dan one for next season has pace not frightened to shoot and like Seedal once one goes in he will be of and running as I've said before and agree with Don a partnership with Hodgie could be fruitful.
