Fantastic, great news. I realise that many of you think this is the wrong decision but Brian is working very hard and can't reveal where the club is headed. Anyway the club is in very safe and capable hands. Well very well done to the club for coming to this conclusion.

Seriously, so we are taking the D&R approach of a couple of years back, comprising of full-time and part-time players. this seems a fairly sensible approach to me given the fact that our fanbase at present does not warrent a full-time squad of 16-18 fully paid professionals.

 

I'd like to go on record and say the information being given out by the Club over the last few days has been very good too seeing I'm always one to moan about the poor communication. Its much appreciated.

Anyway this is the first time that I have had a job where I get to use the web as and when. My boss is aware how much I use the web and is happy with how I do my job. If theres no complaints from him then why should you?

I'm not complaining. But it is a fact that if you are browsing the web on non workrelated issues, then you are not working. So maybe you should ask to do a three day week or something.

Great news! Not totally unexpected. From past comments in previous seasons and earlier this one, plus listening to recent gossip on the terraces, it was thought we'd begin to go full-time by the start of our fourth season in the Conference.

 

A very big step up, with not always a self evident improvement, straight away. How far into next season will we get before the 'doom and gloom' mob start howling about 'rushing into full-time football', I wonder?

I actually feel quite sad that Andy Ford didnt get a chance to get to this stage with the club. I think that Andys scouting and knowledge of the non-league game is second to none and with better resources who knows what he could have achieved. Still time moves on, lets hope for all our sakes its the right move and Liam can take us to the next level.

Very true. You'll notice that these comments were only levelled at Liam Daish and not Sir Andy de Ford... after all Fordy also had a full-time role without full time players.
