Jake - an update as promised ....

Recommended Posts

....to those I spoke to on saturday and those who have called me since.

Had what turns out to be our final trip to Adenbrookes yesterday where we recieved the great news that all is well. Still a slight problem with the left eye but the consultant is positive that will make a 100% recovery and has said he can go back to regular training now but best to wait about another 4/5 months before getting involved in the real physical battles that take place at that level of football.

So he is returning to Leeds today to resume his "normal" life and will be starting training with a view to resuming serious football activities at the start of next season.

Obviously the full trial with Leeds United is off for this summer but the surgeon is writing to them and we will just have to wait and see if he is invited back at a later stage.

Not really the most important thing at this moment though ......

Thanks again for all your kind thoughts and best wishes over this difficult period and Jake will be back for the City Youth George Walker Trophy on May 3rd to impress the boys with his scar ........

...those I spoke to who offered to help, please do so if you can. Not everyone is as fortunate as we are following this sort of accident.
