Great day out in glorios weather, thanks to all the fans that turned up to see the action.

Should have some pics up in the next few days.

I thought at least six of their goals were offside, there was a handball for another and one looked like a foul beforehand.

I ache. I really, really ache!

Slough Supporters 1-8 Ambulance Men

Slough Town supporters were left fuming after a bizarre refereeing decision, not to award a penalty after a blatant foul on Chris Boxall was not awarded.

At 3-1 Silky skilled Boxall clearly beat his man with no fewer than eight step-overs before being scythed down by Roy, with no penalty awarded... A shocking decision! Typical of the man though, he did not moan about the decision and got on with his solid all-round game.

Earlier Boxall's converted 'James Saulsbury' style penalty gave Slough hope after a clear dive by Gary Thomas in the area to make it 3-1.

Just minutes late quick thinking by the possible answer to England's left-sided problem presented Matt with a chance from an in-direct, but the ball went just wide.

Five lucky breaks for the opposition had given them a comfortable lead in the second half, but the Rebels nearly pulled a goal back at the end when Russell and Liam combined well to set up Charlie at the back post. The soon to be Slough Ladies star was unlucky to see her header go just past the post.

Clearly missing the talent of influence of Boxall in midfield in the second-half - clearly struggling with very bad bad blisters, the Rebels had little answer to the opposition with Glen Riley as mobile as a caravan with no Wheels and Mark Radford trying to score goal of the season by beating all the opposition every time he got the ball. The Rebels were lucky to have their left-back Martin though doing his Stuart Pearce impression at left-back.

The Terry Butcher like performances from veterans Chris Sliski (196) and Ian Lathey (74) and great keeping from Dominique Jean-Ashford, with solid play from Matt and Stuart in the middle of the park were bonuses for the supporters team.

All in all an excellent day of entertainment for the Rebels fans, but with one man clearly carrying the team things were always going to be tough for the supporters.

Oh come on, not everytime I got the ball, I remember passing to Gary once and a fantastic 90 yard through ball was almost latched onto by Webb the Elder. Also you failed to mention Boxy, that on one of my mazy, Cristiano Ronaldo type dribbles, I did in fact win our only corner of the game. Great entertainment, fun for all the family, mine obviously not included as they buggered off with 20 minutes to go, and a good workout in the process. Shame the rest of you aren't fit enough to keep up with me!!!!!

Great fun, thanks to everyone. It was clear that I only lasted the ninety minutes thanks to Charlie's super efficient warm up (that and the fact that I stopped moving in the final twenty minutes). Sadly Charlie has now been poached by a team of much superior ability.

Apologies to their number 14 (I think) who unfortunately got injured following a "50-50 challenge" (the ref's words) with me. I hope he is ok.

As an early nominee for dullard of the year I managed to leave my trainers in the chnaging by the time I came back for them they had gone. Don't suppose anyone picked them up?

BTW I think your being a bit harsh on Glen in that report Boxy. As a team we appeared to lack pace, ability and mobility.

We will need to show great Bouncebackability if we ever set up a match with the Windsor boys.

Yeah, if only I had pace

And Chris B, I do believe you should be crediting my brother with the ball to Russ who subsequently put the cross in for Charlie

very flattered by Slough Ladies asking if I'd like to play with them and all the nice comments on here

I thought you were rubbish. I can't believe you missed that header. That could have been the start of the comeback.

Blatant dive? Blatant dive? Obviously did a good enough job as the ref bought it!

Two things I can take from that match are the penalty 'foul' and the take down of Dom's high kick out in the second half. Killed it dead first touch.

Cracking afternoon's entertainment, especially their no.6 as me and him were joking about all afternoon. Cracking stuff.

Charlie scouted after a great game so thanks to her for joining in the fun and for the warm up. Ian was the defensive lynch pin holding things together. Could have been different if late injuries and non-shows hadn't changed our squad!
