A trip that had all three.

Recommended Posts

Yesterdays trip had all of them Sarcasm, Irony and Humour. Sarcasm well we had plenty of that because of course Jimmy was there and if you get Jimmy then you get sarcasm for free. We had Humour, of course with FF's birthday the jokes were in full swing, seriously mate you don't look a day over 40.

Finally we had Irony. When we got into the bar the football was on the telly. Charlton v Man City. FF had told us that he had city to win and when we took our seats the score was 1-1. City then took the lead just before half time, 2-1 for the start of the second half. As the second half wore on I said wouldn't it be funny if Charlton scored right at the end, nah that will never happen. Hahahahahahahahahahah it did, ff lost his bet and I was proved right, gambling is a mugs game.

And that FF is the difference between the three.

Actually, given the fact that cathedrals cost so much to maintain and more specifically that York Minster needs millions of pounds to restore its fantastic medieval windows, £8 for admission is very reasonable. Also putting this into some kind of perspective, given that it cost £12 admission to the Kit Kat stadium, the cost of entry to one of the most impressive buildings in England is a bargain. The only reason I didn't go in was a lack of time. kmj.

Did that include a tour (the Minster that is not the Kitkat studium). I wouldn't mind paying if a guide took you round and explain the history of the place. I assume the best time to get in free would be Sunday morning! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
