I wouldn't say non-league defenders are thuggish but what I would say is they lack mobility and tend to get pulled out of position easily, which is probably why they are where they are.

 

On the other hand, forwards tend to have 'footballing ability' that needs to be directed more (coached in positional play etc).

 

Like I say, the higher the league the better the defenders but lower down the leagues forwards have the key to win games.

 

In Fleets case it stood out on Saturday at York that the forwards need coaching - that's all!
