today...dissapointing but unexpected

To be fair having 4 players suspended and Elphick going back to Brighton was going to slighty distrupt the team, I thought we were still the better team though and all the new signings did very well. We were really up against it when Hooper was very harshly sent off by one of the worst refs I've seen for a long time.

Not sure I totally agree about the new signings - Tomlin and Ibe showed some good touches but need a bit more time to settle in. Wild did OK but is obviously not in the same class as Elphick. Fieldwick was the best of the bunch but we really missed Marwa in the middle, and Clarke up front. Hooper was unlucky with the second yellow but you can't kick the ball away and not expect to get booked.

Let's hope we play a bit more like a team at Margit on tuesday night.

Harshly sent off??? FFS!

First yellow for gobbing off, second yellow for pointlessly chopping a player after he'd been mugged off!

What's harsh about that??? Two absolutely dumb and totally avoidable cautions!

Good player admittedly, but a bit of a plank, let's be honest....

It's funny how we all see a different game; didn't think either side could rightly say they were better on the day, we had the greater number of goal scoring opportunities but both sides had some clear-cut cahnces, the ref was equally pernickety and at least you know what you're dealing with.

We thought he was one of the better refs we've had this season! For such a good player Hooper should know better. Twice in the second half the lino gave dodgy off sides, one off a pass from a St Albans player and one for our player winning the ball, don't go blaming dodgy officialdom.

Anyway, on to more important things, have you got a fan who calls himself 'hatboy' and talks absolute [****!!****] in The Mermaid?

He wasn't sent off for kicking the ball away, his path and the path of your number 5 passed and they accidently clattered into each other, it certainly wasn't even a foul and your fellow spent ages on the floor before getting up and running about like nothing happened.

Anyone know how long his ban is likely to be as this is his 3rd red card of the season and he also served another suspension for failing to leave the feild of play, something he also did again yesterday. He'll be ok for the Herts Senior Cup Final but I get the impression we might not see him again after that.
