Billericay Vs Yeading............(The Big Match)

You can quote stats but they don't tell the whole stroy...from where I was watching Armstrong appears to be the better "foil" for Elder. His effort and strength are perfect to create openings for others to come through as well.

I will admit that his scoring rate isn't all that at the mo...but to quote a well known member of the "cow shed", it'll come!!!

I think perhaps Paul's best role is as link up between midfield and attack. The problem is when he drops off deep to pick up the ball, the midfield aren't getting forward enough, so Nathan is a touch isolated up front. Cuz tends to play further forward than Paul, so although he may not lay on as many chances for Nathan as Paul does, he is more of a problem for the oppos defence in my opinion. For what it's worth I would consider starting Cuz against Worthing, if only to shake things up a bit.

Agree with what you have all said. I dont really think any of Yeading players stood out as being anything special. Clearly their tactics are based on working hard, and intimidating their opposition. I dont think our lads were intimidated by them though. As for the brawl, at least one Yeading player kopped a good right hander from someone as was clutching his face. Im no fan of this sort of thing in a game, but having played sat and sunday leagues its happens. What is not on is a member of another teams squad who is not even on the bench getting involved. The yeading lad who jumped from the stand over the dug out to get involved is clearly just a thug. Was it me or were the Yeading players seemingly always close to loosing their rag? Well done to our lads for looking out for each other and not letting Yeading walk over them.

As for the game I thought we were the better team, at times it looked as if Yeading were more than happy with a draw. Felt we created enough to win but couldnt take our chances.

Was a little surprised with Forbes going off. Thought he was playing well plus his height was a huge advantage and no disrepect to Matt Game as he had a good game out on the right but he just wasnt as effective in the centre as he was the shortest player in the middle.

Well done lads just keep going. From what I saw of Yeading I cant see them wiining every game they have left.

Forbes was on a yellow and such was the poor ref, was quite probably in line to pick another. If you look at the amount of "cheating" he let Yeading get away with, he was definately not a "homer"!!!

How on earth did their manager (or any of their players) get away with that act of petulence which started a 23 man handbag session is beyond me..."Oh and lads, if it helps you to control the ball with your hands...I'll over look it..." What a twat!!!

its only in this level of football that a member of another squad could get away with leaving the stand, jumping over the dug out to get involved with a dust up. Any other level ie where there are cameras the player and club involved would be pulled up for their behaviour. You cant blame the ref for not reporting it as the chances are he wouldnt have seen it as all hell was breaking losing around him. I just thought Preddie, if it was him, was bang out of line getting involved. Can you imagine Hockton running on from the spectators to get involved? Like i said in a tense game like it was it was going to boil over but for the cause of it to be their manager then I guess you have to expect their players to behave in such a way. I just hope the ref did see that moron jump the dug out to get involved and report him.

Earlier in the season an Eastleigh 'fan' jumped onto the pitch and got involved in a brawl between players, and is now banned from the ground. Can someone please tell me how Preddies actions are different to those at Eastleigh?

Coming back to the announcements, I would like to thank Neil Wiltshire for stepping in yesterday when I wasn't available. Cheers.
No probs, it was nice to actually be heard on Sat using the new toys after all those years struggling with a rusty tin can and a bit of string!
