Looking for peoples nominations for Slough Town's goal of the season as a pre-requisite for the competiion. Please could you post your nominations in this thread or on an email to me (gary@sloughtownfc.net)

I've got all the goals bar one on video from the first team this season, and although that is likely to be a contender (Smurf's first at Gravesend), I'll get around that (somehow...)

Spencer at Leyton

Spencer at Kingstonian

Harris at Kingstonian

Harris home to Walsall (FA Cup)

Smurph at Gravesend (1st goal)

Mullet home to Salisbury (FA Cup)

Hodgey home to Salisbury (FA Cup)

Other than that I'll have to check the video's.

Any of Matt Murphy's five goals against Windsor especially the penalty, one of the cleanest strikes I've ever seen! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

In all seriousness;

Spencer (Leyton (a) and Kingstonian (a))

Murphy. Mi (Gravesend 1st (a))

Harris (Tonbridge (a) and Walsall (h))

Wilkinson (Salisbury FA CUP (h))

Haddow (Eastleigh 3rd (a) and Salisbury FA CUP (h))

Seedel (Heybridge BRYCO (a))

Murphy. Ma (Tonbridge (h))

They're my best 10 of the season so far, but with the Supporters Match tomorrow that could all change!!!!!

Harris - Kingstonian away, Walsall home

Michael Murphy - Gravesend away

Ryan Spencer - Leyton away, Kingstonian away

Matt Murphy - Windsor away (header from Michael Murphy freekick)

and a bizarre selection but Steve Daly's goal against Croydon Atheltic in our first FA Cup game which sent us on that fantastic cup run. Sometimes it's not how great it looks but how great it looks in the long run... or something like that

Absolutely. That's why Glen Harris has to be there for his goal against Walsall which was a scrappy thing but of huge significance.

OK ladies and gents, any additions to the above? I will be compiling the shortlist this evening and voting will begin tomorrow evening (pending an addition from the Heybridge match).

To get the award ready, we will be exclding the Hampton & Worthing matches from this vote, although will allow entries to be included in next seasons if there is a real belter.

Couple of others spring to mind:

Mike Murphy and Josias Carbon - both at home to Kingstonian

We scored some bloody good goals against Kingstonian this year.

I'd added in Carbon's, will have to look at Murphy's to remind myself. The shortlist at present is:

1. Spencer - Leyton (a)

2. Spencer - Kingstonian (a)

3. Harris - Kingstonian (a)

4. Harris - Walsall (FA Cup)

5. Mi. Murphy - Gravesend (1st goal)

6. Haddow - Salisbury (FA Cup)

7. Hodges - Salisbury (FA Cup)

8. Wilkinson - Salisbury (FA Cup)

9. Harris - Tonbridge (a)

10. Haddow - Eastleigh (3rd goal (a))

11. Seedel - Heybridge BRYCO (a)

12. Matt Murphy - Tonbridge (h)

13. Matt Murphy - Windsor (a)

14. Matt Murphy - Salisbury (a) (Volley)

15. Carbon - Kingstonian (h)

Will have a page setup with a small clip of the goal and an email vote just underneath. Will also take the laptop to the Heybridge match so non-Internet people can also vote if they wish.

I think he lashed it in from about twenty five yards. Top corner. Just as I said "He is going to shoot you know." Either that or my mind is playing tricks on me.
