Thoughts fo Today

On KMFM yesterday morning it was clearly stated work would start at HP next Tuesay and a statement would be issued by the club. This information coming from a supporter,(cant remember who the presenter said it was) Now in todays Gazette it says contractors are EXPECTED on site on Tues with Gary Lever for preparations.Work COULD start late next week. Now IMO there are already delays to all the euphoria from Wed night. Also at the very least no matter what eventually is built at HP the club have got to clear up the disgraceful state it is now in.Not discussing the who and whys about it being wrecked, but the Club are responsible for it being in this mess and must tidy it up.Now the reinstatement involves erecting stands, terracing etc, and the laying of a pitch both of which as pointed out elsewhere can be completed quite quickly,if of course the land ground is flat and ready for it.Now I would not have thought that firms who specialise in building stands etc, or the laying of pitches, although experts in their particular field are probably not geared up to clear the amount of rubble and 20ft high mounds of earth,as is the position at HP at the moment. It is this sort of work that is IMO preparation work that must be done before any thing else happens.I cannot for the life of me fathom out why this has not been done.It will be some time before this lot is cleared, and proper building work commence. Some one has suggested they are scratching around trying to get it done on the cheap.!!!!

If the work at HDP is due to start the people who know whats needed to be done in time to start next season have surley got this all to plan.I dont think the likes of Mr Lever needs to get anything done on the cheap.

I think you may find that matters such as setting up site huts/workers facilities/preliminaries and appropriate health and safety measures may take a couple of days.

Contractors quite rightly do not just arrive on site and start digging.

The construction industry has moved on a tag

As long as their is no contaminated soil on site,(and no reason to think their is) it would not take a proper company long to shift a few mounds of soil

The contractors will be there tuesday and this is the start we have been waiting for. As long as it does commence on the day stated and regardless of how little is done in the first couple of days it is a start and a beginning to an end result of a playing arena again for our club. Why dont you Mr. Annon accept that the club have things in hand and stop being so negative. It dosent hurt you know Mr. Annon to smile occasionally.
