Phil Old Boy posting.

Bit quiet on here today after a bit of recent activity.

Anyone got any thoughts about the game tomorrow/formations?

Should we go 4-4-2, 4-5-1, or 4-3-3 and go for it. Whatever, should we have 4 at the back? By keeping 11 on the pitch may give us a chance!

How about:

Harrison

Defence: Wardy, Theobald, Sterling

Wing backs: where one stays back always if the other goes on a run. Keeling on the right, Duffy on the left.

Def mid : McGhee

Midfield: Noto, Williamson

Forwards; Gregory, Boylan.

Although a bit different from mine, quite like that line up Richard. There is pace at the back but perhaps the height is not there, but at least there is four.

In midfield, your selection advances Differs and Kilo more upfield to support the attack. Perhaps McGhee could play the defensive midfield role.

The Junior/Boylan partnership is one where they say they are too similar to play with. Makes you wonder if we could add another one up there to really mix it up.

Richard Sparkes for manager? I like your team for much the same reasons as Phil, definitely like the 4 at the back. I bet Jeff is reading this discussion board right now and thinking, "$hit, Sparkes has got there before me. Better not play this formation or he'll think I copied it from him."

Matt I cant see anyone to knock the ball into Lee's feet. What about pushing sedg into the spot you put Mints and squeeze mints in between Mario and john.

4 -4 -1 -1

Or even leave sedg and mints pushing 4 - 3 -3

It's a shame I can't put downward facing arrows on this thing otherwise I would be able to have Keeling running forward in line with Minton to get those wicked crosses in from the left and Duffy can do the same if Minton drops back.

(Trust me it works on the PC Game! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />) I'm 5th in League 2 working on a 4-3-3 formation LOL

GK Harrison

RB Smith

LB Ward

CB Theobald

CB Sterling

RM Duffy

LM Keeling

CM Minton

CM McGhee

ST Gregory

ST Boylan

As Mike Bassett said, we should play "four - four -f**king two!!"

Assuming all are fit I reckon this would be pretty solid. I think at times our midfield looks too crowded, maybe having Minton and McGhee in their might create a bit more room. On the flip side, I suppose that Exeter could find more room also.
