bored bored bored bored bored ...

im leaving at 3.15 today so i can get on it before tonights southend game at roots hall.. if they win they go top for the first time since dinosaurs roamed the earth so it should be quite lively..

i want to get local and get on the sauce but today is slipping by at an alarming slow rate!!. i could possibly get out earlier but that would mean solo drinking in southend waiting for the rest of the chaps.. surely i haven't sunk so low as to favour pintage on my own in a crap seaside boozer with only a copy of the evening echo for company over furthering my career.......... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Hmm was tempted to go for a few beers myself after work in Southend.

Did you go to the game on Saturday mate? Didn't see you. I was in the bike sheds with the singing lot in the first half until my voice totally went.

Still fking bored.

Problem is, no-one actually comes on here any more.

There was a time when there'd be 10-15 people posting on this forum at any given moment during the day. The old '1,000 posts a week' attempts - more often than not achieved.

SAINTS64MAD making his first post of the day at 4.15pm precisely. You could set your watch by him. Chubbster on daily with interesting music chat, Cynic chipping in regularly with a ready quip.

Laz, Thorns, CANV, GHA and myself doing a good 200-odd posts a day between us. ESG, AFF and Rob The Saint playing their part with some sterling supporting roles.

We argued about Bush and Iraq, we made invasions of our own, every Thursday, on other scarfers' boards. Hornchurch, Crawley, Forest Green, Aylesbury - all came under fire from the master posters on the St Albans City forum.

But those glory days appear to be over.

Chubbster and GHA are at university. MAD is too busy with his band. Thorns is working less hours than ever and Laz has given up the booze.

ESG briefly became JillKing before quitting the board, AFF and Rob generally stick to the Football Forum, leaving CANV, myself and relative newcomers Gertcha and Zag to pick up the pieces over here.

It's all very sad.

Ah those were the days! That Hornchurch invasion was something else! How many posts did we rack up that Thursday?

I remember the Forest Green invasion being a bit of a damp squib.

Unfortunately a little matter called work got in the way of me coming on here as the civil service take a dim view of internet use during work hours. I still sneak on when people are not looking!!

I'll be on regularly for the next few days during the day so hope there's some fun and games.
