My sources tell me that should Potters Bar, Enfield, Hertford and Enfield Town all succeed with promotion this year to step 4, and if certain clubs like Cheshunt get relegated there is a possibility that Enfield Town would have to play in Ryman 1 , mainly because they are the most southernly club of the promoted teams. The question is would you take up that opportunity?

Given the choice of Ryman one or staying at step 5 then obviously I'd take Ryman one. Given the choice of Ryman one or any other step 4 league then I'd take the other league.

Of course we would accept the promotion - but there are a lots of "ifs" in there! We have our work cut out to win this league first, it is very tight at the top and contrary to what somewhat embittered fans from other clubs say on here, we are certainly not counting our chickens.

 

Yes, I agree that if we ARE fortunate enough to win promotion, I think it's fair to say that every Town fan would prefer the Southern league over the Ryman, but promotion is promotion.

I take it that this is MK's opportunity to wind up people on 1 April. I heard that if EFC go up then they will be going into the Northern League!
