hi, im a crawley fan and we have just signed steve burton from scarboro. i found out that he was on loan to you earlier on in the season and i was wondering if you could give me some information about the player.

fairly lumpy.. good in the air but not massively tall..

competent target man .. i would say he is a good signing unless you are long of strikers

I remember the Scarborough fans were a bit 50/50 about him. Some felt he wouldn't be much of a loss whilst others felt he hadn't been given a fair chance.

 

At Canvey he hasn't set the world alight and there hasn't been much response one way or the other. As Canv EFM says quite pacey, 6 footer, scored his only goal with a well taken header and came on as sub against Barnet on Monday - so a bit of a suprise that he has signed. My only real criticism is his first touch and initial control needs tidying up a bit.

It's a shame we lost Steve. He never really got a regular chance in the team and started a few games but for the most part was introduced with a few minutes to go when we were chasing games.

 

His height was a real asset and he had a good turn of pace. First touch needed some work though but his work rate was very high and I think he could have been a useful player to have around the squad.

 

Wonder whether Greggors might get his chance Saturday if Lee is not fit.

i dont think we've seen the same player! the one i saw was great! first touch-quality scored a great goal! and his work rate was outstanding but hey mabe he just needed a quality side to play with! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
