Cant say i was allways bored last night but the inability to finish clear chances was crazy.

 

Owen is a knob and shouldnt be in the team until hes playing first team football for his league club. Its deffinatley not as quick as he use to be( and hes a moody looking sod)

No offence mate, but I find those who are slating Michael Owen are a bit thick.

 

The guy is only 25 years old still, yet he's only one International goal behind Alan Shearer.

 

People forget that Shearer went nine International matches without scoring prior to Euro 96, and people were calling for him to be dropped, but Venables stuck by him and he ended up having a great tournament.

 

Michael Owen is far superior to Alan Shearer (who I reckon, incidentally, is/was well overrated) and I'm convinced he will end up breaking Sir Bobby Charlton's goalscoring record.

 

I'm also convinced that Wayne Rooney will go on to break it further still.

 

Owen is one of England's Top 5 post war strikers. (Alongside Lineker, Charlton, Greaves and Lofthouse).

Personally think Owen is better than Shearer. Owen is often criticised for his performances for England but his record speaks for itself.

 

Looks like Defoe may get his chance against the Welsh with Owen suspended for this game.
