"As you may have heard Maidenhead United FC have awarded Brian Connor a testimonial in recognition of 9 seasons of loyal service. The match will take place on Sunday 1st May, with a Maidenhead old boys team playing a Wycombe old boys team. Brian spent time at Slough earlier on in his career and I would really appreciate it if you could send an offical good luck message from your club for the programme along with any stats or anecdotes you may have. Arseholes - Barry Rake? - a slough legend to us rebels way back then and a really nice lad; at times the only slough born lad to play for us (and our fanzine sponsored his socks) Garry Attrell- scored that goal against Millwall,; Steve Thompson, was brillant for Slough.
