FINAL SCORE: Aylesbury 0 - 1 Billericay

Scrappy game, we missed Mark Brennan in midfield, and if Aylesbury had had their shooting boots on they would probably have got at least a point. We played some good football at times, but tended to give the ball away a bit carelessly as well. Still, 3 wins out of 3 so we're still up there, but I reckon Hendon will pose a big challenge on Monday.

yes it was a tight game with few chances and the ducks will prob feel aggrieved to get nothing. think the back four which many of us are still not sure abt (including me) should be well pleased only conceding 1 goal in 3 games. think the midfield is looking good..i tght it was a good decision by calder to bring on henty on sat as the grahams were beginning to wilt in the heat and i thgt henty did a decent job closing the spaces down..and we sure missed brennan so plenty of strength in depth there. up front fewings put himself abt well again but forrester looks like he s a bit short on confidence at mom....mebbe its worth giving joe a start up front..im sure he must be fired up to putting in a good performance (or bubb if he s fully fit.) was sorry to hear abt dicko going but i spose it s so hard to keep a big good squad together at this lvl if they not playing regularly..wish him all the best...and look forward to another 3 points on monday..cmon the bluessssss

Agree that it wasnt the best showing against the Ducks and would have had no complaints had they snatched a point. On the plus side, this was one of those games that we would have lost last season. We didnt create too many chances but we did seem to look pretty solid at the back, Kerrigan yet again didnt put a foot wrong, Moore looked solid. With regards to the few of us still not sure about the defence, agree totally. I have said a few time on here that Rantala should be in the team. Clalder made it seem that he was pulling out all the stops to keep him at the club at the end of last season so why stick a quality player, that can also pass the ball and not hoof it up the park bypassing what is now very much a ball playing midfield, on the bench? no disrespect to Penn but Rantala is stronger. Penn at right back would be good as McDonald hasnt really looked either good or bad. I for one am loving watching us play so far this season, its never dull!!!! fingers crossed Brennan is for monday.

come on the ricay!
