Now you all know I don't like to quibble, but I don't think kangaroos hop. Hopping is boinging along on one leg: kangaroos jump, i.e. use both legs.

 

To be fair, he (the lonely marsupial) does state that hopping is his hobby, and not actually his main means of locomotion. He obviously only hops in his spare time.
