full-time

The thing is, these shareholders that you talk about DON'T know as much as you seem to think they do.

There's a very select few that know all of what's going on behind the scenes - they're called 'the board of Gravesend & Northfleet'.

By the way, it seems that we got our dates muddled - the meeting that involves discussing whether we go full-time or not takes place Tuesday of THIS week, as opposed to last week.

Perhaps that is why nothing has been revealed?

Some very good replies, however some of the posts on here having a go at each other spoils it.

No Directors of any business tell staff exactly what is going on all the time, you have annual meetings to discuss with Shareholders how the business has gone during the year, and the chance to air your views and take it forward to next year.

Whatever the Chairman and board of Directors decide you will be told, if the decision to go full-tme is made, you will probably not be told how it is funded,i would imagine it may well be increase in Season tickets, Entrance fee and Club Shirts or another major sponser or even a donation from someone who wants to remain annon.

Whatever happens i would expect it to be for the good of GNFC, my own view is that without a major sponsership deal this Club cannot afford to go Full-Time, the area does not have the fan base, the support will be there to a certain extent if the Club are successful, but not what the Club need.

If I knew who you were Mr Anon, I could then decide if you were teasing or not !!

Anyway, if you know me that well, you would know that I would never go to the fridge and get a pie !?! What's the point of that then ?

Now if you said go to the fidge and get a can of Strongbow or Stella, that would be nearer the mark......

See you Saturday.....

Cheers,

Unfortunately I cannot disagree with a word of what you say. I must admit I do find it slightly disappointing for that an area like this we can’t attract more than 1300 or so supporters to most home matches, and until this changes significantly then the club shouldn’t even consider turning professional. We’ve been through this a hundred times on here discussing this and it does get a bit frustrating after a while.

There is certain information that a public company is required to provide its shareholders by law. Things like finances and salaries of directors etc. However this applies to a proper public limited company, which Gravesend & Northfleet FC is not. Least I have not seen its shares on the stock market!

It's a common misconception that you have to be a quoted company to be a plc, but it's not the case. Any company can become a plc, provided that they adhere to the correct sections of the companies act.

Even those companies which are private companies, such as Gravesend & Northfleet still have to file accounts with certain basic information shown with companies house, and, for a fee, anyone can obtain a copy of those accounts.

Companies House, from there it will direct you, you will i am sure have to pay a small fee.

A mate of mine showed me the site in Newcastle recently, lets you know what the competition is up to, i will try and find out what he used, he probably did pay a subscription.

Possibly - if, of course, you were willing to buy them all yourself.

Firstly my message was supposed to appear on the 'club shop' thread. No idea how I managed to post it here!

Yes, I would be buying the badges myself and would initially probably order no more than 100 or so, depending on what design I go for. There are various design’s that I have in mind that I have seen used by other clubs but obviously I would incorporate the club crest into them.

Jus wondering what designs people would like to see or who would be interested.

Probably not to reply in this thread.
