Ian,

why stop then. They way to get the prize put up to a worthwhile level and maybe generate some money for the trust (50/50?)is to allow people to continue betting but after each match the stake goes up a pound. e.g. after the Hampton match it costs £2 a guess after Kinstonian.£3 etc till the

Ricay match. leaving 5 games to go. That way the late comers have more info but pay more and people can cover themselves if their original choice is looking dodgy. That way people can choose to spend maybe £20 by choosing on the last games and maybe scooping £40( effectively even money )

Or by sitting on the original £1 bet hitting a 40/1 shot. Bets are worth the same they just cost more with time. Bit more complicated I know but if you wanted to keep the interest ( and money )flowing...

Ahh, how sweet! For someone that's just passed your eleven plus exam though, your maths is terrible! We've currently got 46 points and can get a maximum of 79. Guess again becks!

That's quite a clever way of raising cash although I didn't really suggest this to make cash, just for a bit of fun. I also haven't got the inclination to administer it like that although it's a great suggestion. Maybe we should consider that next year.

Anyway, I'm hoping that whoever wins will donate the winnings to the sponsored walk anyway!! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Well, money can be donated online via PayPal by sending me an e-mail and I will initiate the transaction. Donating in this way is so simple even Woody managed to do it! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Alternatively, just send me an e-mail to the above address with your name and how much you'd like to donate and I can take it in either cash or cheque at a match in the future. Alternatively, go to the Supporters Hut on a matchday and ask to add your name to the list.

If you're really feeling generous you could collect money on behalf of the walkers by requesting a sponsor form which I can mail over to you. That would be the best idea of all.

I'm really surprised you didn't know all this, Gary.
