If MFC get relegated.........

What would be the effect of the ground? If groundsharing was acceptable in the Ryman League say - may this be a blessing in disguise in as much as nothing would need to be rushed and could be done properly. Hate to think the worst but there is little or no chance that a ground will be ready for the start of the season now surely?!

You would be surprised how quickly these structures can get thrown together. As far as I know we are planning a 500-seater stand and 1,000 capacity terrace (one end still exists). Dressing rooms will be temporary. Sounds doable in three months.

One blessing is that after a great conversation with CK yesterday there is a strong possibility that if we have a new ground and are relegated then he will stay and try and get us back in conf. Also he is not even thinking about rele yet. One game at a time. He was not even interested in the scores from Newport etc. He said a great deal of other things about the best players he has had on the books a t gate and his thoughts on JP!! It was a very heartening conversation from a man that is a legend for MFC. He feels a Margate fan as well as being in the MFC family. What a man.

Surely if we get relegated he will do the honourable thing and resign. He has to take the ultimate responsibility. Then again I think he's still got another year on his fat contract JP set him up on so if there is no funds to pay him off we will be stuck with him. Bet he is still being paid even if the players aren't. Yes he has been a loyal servant to the club for almost 9 years now and could have gone elsewhere if anyone actually wanted him (Dagenham and Gravesend didn't)but it would be time for change and to move on imo with new players and management team. Not all Margate fans feel the sun shines out of his a***. We have under achieved badly this season and were poor last season too.

Given that, this season, he has had to deal with a transfer embargo and, last season, players were not paid for months, what more could he have done? The circumstances could not have been more difficult.

Previous anonymous but one is obviously a disgruntled person with a big chip on its shoulder who is not a supporter of the club, and sad enough to get its rocks off by bad mouthing everything about the club, manager, players, officials and real fans. Probably thinks it could do better, and longs for the chance to gather a team of fat blokes together, call it margate football athletic or something and be king of its own empire in the lower echelons of the kent league. Or perhaps even margate anonymous fc, that would be a good one. I wish it would have a go at this, as then we could all see what underachieving really looks like!

Should change our name back to Thanet Utd as Ezekiel wants us to....just like Tony Cella (Thanet Council official) did back in 1979 with his offers of unlimited backing from the Council.

To the anon that thinks CK should resign, get your facts right before slaging off our boss.If you know the man you would know he is MFC through and through and what he has had to put up with this season most men would have walked away,ie Gary Hill for one, about his big fat contract, well you know jack-[****!!****] but being anon you can get away with that.

I note that in some peoples eyes relegation might be a blessing in disguise, i.e. nothing needs to be rushed, and be done correctly. If we are relegated then some one must be held responsible. No way would I blame CK , KR or the playing staff. What about getting back to HP for the benefit of all those who cant, are too old or infirm to travel, or just for the local area.Another posting elsewhere suggests misguided loyalty to some one has cost us dear, because some one is misleading people.IMO this anon is talking about KP.I believe this person is quite close to the truth, and I think Cookie is being very hard and unfair with his critism of this person. Some loyal supporters of many years standing who cannot get to Ashford are sick to the back teeth with all the delays, misleading statements etc.Cookie and Co must realise that not every one agrees with what is going on, and are entitled to their opinion.Info right now is non existent from the Club right now and people are going to get frustrated and upset.

I was having ago back because the anon couldnt give a name. We all know who he was talking about and being an anon he could easily say the name without fear of reprisal. So why didnt he? Have I ever asked people to agree with me? I dont hold guns to their heads do I? Besides that, what you, another annon says I actually agree with. Cannot see where your problem is. If someone, annon or not wishes to have a go at someone then call them by name thats all I was saying. If you have something to say or someone to mention then bloody well mention it or them.

I am one of those you mention who is not happy with the delays. Where am I different from you or others. My response is solely to keep peoples heads up and not to keep seeing the bad side of things.

Kp has done a tremendous job and there should be no denying that but these delays ARE really pissing people off, me included. But until things turn sour for a final time how can anyone, you included, accuse KP of misleading us. If it ever goes tits up then and only then should we say that he had pulled the wool over our eyes. Until such time,if ever,we should be believing that in fact things are about to progress. KP should be getting our support regardless and not have to endure backhanded comments about his loyalty or hard work to and for the club. He is busting a gut to get this off the ground so if we are true fans we should be putting our trust in him no matter what.

So where am I asking people to agree with me and and where am I any different from you? I am expressing a view, my view and disagreeing with others points of view when I feel it fit to do so.If I believe I have said something wrong then I will be the first to admit it and likewise if I feel others points of view are wrong then in that instance too I will say so. You may be, they may be right and I may be wrong but thats what I feel and therefore I say so. Read what you see and then make a statement. Maybe then you will see it in a different light. If I came on here as an annon you wouldnt be able to call me by name would you? Thats because I have nothing to hide and have no fear of being pulled up on certain aspects that I may be wrong about. Its all about opinions and just as you disagree with mine so I may disagree with yours. Thats life.

Lets just try and keep morale up despite all our frustrations. Thats what I think....ANNON. But you dont have to agree with me!

You may be being a bit harsh on MFC.

I have a little bit of experince with dealing with in house legal depts of County councils on significant building issues.(£18m)

I think it was about a month ago that the matter was 'resolved'/agreed.

To get a legal agreement drawmn up in 4 weeks with a councils in house solicitors is nigh on impossible ,especially if they are not trying to do you any favours.

However KP and Gary Lever in particular would know this, and should possibly not have raised expectations as to timing.

In particular it is a pity that MFC have not updated things a bit better over last month.

I may be completely off track and as ever, a little knowledge is dangerous, but i do wonder whether legal issues are frustrating everyone(but again-that was always going to be the case-solicitors like to delay things and cause a row as that way, they can charge more fees-excuse my scepticism of the legal profession but it is well founded !!

Anyway, maybe we should just layoff KP a bit?
