Despite rumours to the contrary, Gary Elphick is staying until the end of the season, and Scott Cousins has decided to stay with the Mighty Saints.

 

Further loan deals are also expected to be announced later today.

Ah yes, Southon was of course on loan. So that's six so far.

 

Elphick was signed on 'work experience'.

Also, Davis doesn't count as he is now on contract and Fieldwick is also purely non-contract.

I think that a player can only come on a 'work experience' basis if, firstly the club what he is contracted to agree to it and, secondly, if he/she is under 18.

Allegedly signed and travelled to see Cambridge play on Monday (anyone see him at Citys game ?) but when Cambridge called on Tuesday for clearance / cancellation of registration from City they were told he had changed his mind and now wanted to stay. Very strange.

 

If this is true how will the rest of the squad feel ? Bit pi**ed off I would have thought.

 

I'm glad he's staying though cos he's a good bloke as well as a decent player

Not sure I would be delighted if I had sat on a coach for two hours, ran my Bo**ocks off for the next hour and a half, sat for another two hours knowing that one of my "mates" was entertaining thoughts of abandoning ship whilst unable to help the cause.

 

Sorry .. as much as I like the bloke, he wouldn't play for me again.... not after that.

 

But what I think is not important. If CL and his squad thinks this is acceptable then thats okay.
