had a falling out with the Manager when they Brightly came back after he was bombed out of 2 clubs in a matter of months!!! and to be honest I was not playing at my best anyway. Then my old manager from from Dover came in who was at Chatham at the time so I went, didn't play first 3 games I was there but played every game since mate and enjoying my football again. And don't worry about having a bad patch fella your only human, you will be back to normal in no time.

cheers mate. believe it or not ive been playing well!! sounds strange. i used to play with brightly at essex. didnt rate him then. he was good at concord last season. played against him pre season when he was at wakering and werent looking all that!! heard he was back at concord.

Yeah I guess he did mate, funny how things work out. My old number two Brad King from when I was at Manor and Basildon used to say the same thing about Brightly as you but yeah give him credit as he is a fellow keeper he had a good season last year.

I do like playing for ETFC they are a great club and great fans and to be honest at my age (no jokes) i want to go back and play at a higher level. I hope it is with ETFC next year but football is a funny thing but i don't see why i would want to go anywere else really..

Ryman Southern with Chatham, they all messed up now mate I don't understand the leagues anymore!!! and I hear they are changing again - shocking. You are right Enfield Town is a great club and you have quality fans although I din't like it when they got on my back this year but that is part of the banter, previous years I have played well against you guys and they aknowledge that so they are good in both ways. I hope you do go up this year for the work they have put into it and for you players of course. The pitch looked very good this year I must say.

As a fellow keeper now retired people sometimes dont realised how hard being a goalkeeper is,one thing is for sure though the essex senior league has currently some of the best keepers in the county that everybody is a fact.

Safehands1 I can quite honestly say that after Chopper (Biased maybe, but he has been quality for years, back to the EFC days) you along with the keeper that played at Bowers then Stansted (welsh he was) have been the most impressive ive seen in the ESL in the four years we have been in it.

As for the banter its all good natured mate, you handled it well as i remember.

Good luck & maybe see you in a higher league next season.

You must be on the Rivermead Campus to say that (Michael Ashcroft Building?)...the Central Campus is a dump; the sooner they knock that down the better. cheers gazza, and I hope you guys get up to a higher league where you deserve to be aswell. I did enjoy the banter to be fair and playing in front of a good crowd that love football, unlike the gobby ones from Waltham Abbey who just go to games to give it. I went to watch the Manor Burnham game last night and although conditions were bad the Refereee gifted Burnham a very dodgy penalty late on and then they got a 2nd goal in the dying seconds. To be honest I think the league is yours but Burnham are a young side and have done themselves prowd this year.

She should not have been put in charge of that game as it was a bit too big for her, she used to be a linesman if I remember correctly. Her legs made me want to chuck!!!!
