Up to 16th Now.....

The brilliant win yesterday means that we are now up to 16th with 45 points and have two games in hand over the two teams just above us. Isn't this great? It was a great day out at Lewes - nice'n'sunny, and I must say the grass verges were being used to full effect <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

 

Towards the end of the game a seemingly mad old bloke (sorry if it's anyones relative!!) was going around saying that Gary Elphick was back to Brighton this week and not at the end of the season. A shame if it's true!! He also said that Matt Hann's ankle had "ballooned up". Again not so sure that it's true, but I hope he's OK for Saturday.

 

Looking forward to the Sutton game. Onwards and Upwards!!

I have an excellent photo of Thornsey winning the "roll down the grass bank" competition.

 

The ground was a little like Letchworth, however I'm not sure it is really up to this level of football and crowds of 600+.

 

There was only one toilet in the ground and that serviced the bar too. At the end of the game I was absolutely gagging for a slash, having had about five pints of Coke, and was confronted with a queue.

 

Can't wait for Sutton!

I think the Urchins have the edge on goal difference thanks to the cricket scores they were knocking up earlier in the season before the cash ran out.

 

As for Thornsey, let's say the stewards were glad to see the back of him.
