Gary... none of the comments were levelled at me per se...

but there was a group of slightly older chaps shall we say, who were griping about the rent issue...and the fact that they clearly weren't happy with sharing their ground and why don't we all sod off back to slough or merge with Burnham....

just made my blood boil a bit

I thought Mason was trying to do too much in the first half, to no avail, but in the 2nd half it all came off, & was brilliant ! Also thought Michael Murphy's delivery of free kicks & corners was awesome. Wilko was massive in the centre and Matt Murphys finishing was clinical. All in all a richly deserved 3 points......... & to see Chuck bight at BFR's wind-ups was priceless !

 

any news on Allaway & Hodgey, both injured or left out ?

Allaway apparently was watching the match today although i didn't see him... still very much a rebel which is good news... thought chris' moderators kiss of death might have come into effect.... no idea about hodegy i'm afraid

Don't know what has happened with Allaway, but know for a fact that Hodges is injured.

I agree re: the singing. Sounds great when 4-0 up, but 0-0 or when they're behind is when they need it most.

The Windsor fans were probably moaning at turning up to THEIR home game and seeing themselves outnumbered two or three to one. The rent is nobody's issue other than Peter Simpson's and Martyn Deaner's and if people knew the full story then they might not be so quick to criticise.

 

If they don't want us then fine. I'm sure there's other clubs willing to let us play at their ground but there isn't going to be a queue at Stag Meadow of other teams waiting to pay Windsor the sort of money we've committed to.

Lloyd regularly turns up for Slough games when he doesn't have to play himself.

 

Even if we did not ground share with Windsor we would still out number them at their "home" match. One day we will no longer ground share with Windsor. It will be interesting to see what happens to them then.
