Not sure how much it boosted the crowd, but there were some new ones going thru the turnstiles when I arrived.

So it had some degree of sucess.

But as mentioned above, you can't see them rushing back.

Unless we take promotion of the club seriously, we are going to have to make do with attendances made of 1000 or so home fans. Full time football, you're 'aving a laugh.

Unfortunately, promoting the club isn't going to make a lot of difference if, as is likely next season, we are still in the bottom half of the Conference. That's the bottom line - at the end of the day, attendances will only be increased markedly by a successful football team. This, of course, comes back to the chicken-and-egg situation of improving the team with more money, which comes from bigger attendances etc.

Always a difficult one Bank Holiday games, i would like all games cancelled over this period, this is a time for Family etc there was no way i could have got to any game this weekend even if it had been at the local recreation ground.

As said before Fleet will only produce Crowds when doing well, it has happened for years, there are a lot of new fans here on this forum five years or so supporting Fleet who have seen crowds rise, it is a problem at Gravesend always has always will be, the best Fleet team ever in the Tony Sitford years always struggled to get good crowds, whatever the attraction, and they ended top five first season.

Fleet will always have a problem with London Clubs, always have always will, forget Gills they have the same problem, although this weekend there was no top London Clubs playing so it boils down to success only, or people with other important things to do.

What can you do nothing really just carry on like every other season.

Hmmm. Isn't there a board meeting tomorrow night, with an agenda that includes discussing whether to go full-time next season (or not)?

I can only hope the answer will be 'no'. If not, the club will have some serious explaining to do about where the necessary funds are coming from.
