i see those pesky guys from kent have been a bit naughty whilst playing our frds from dagenham.. seems a group behind the goal thought it sporting to spit on the daggers keeper...

now i actually dont give a toss but imagine if such an event happened at the lane i estimate at least 50 posts from our chums from kent <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/director.gif" alt="" /> plus a shedload more from the rest of the non league on line community .. how caring of us to leave them alone to sort out the gob problem if only the same would apply shud the roles be reversed

Spitting at the Dagenham keeper is nothing compared to the Dageham keeper [****!!****] on St.Albans, so bollox to him!

Prehaps the Kent people have been listening to the new Streets album, where he talks a lot about spitting, it's not literal, it's street slang for speaking!

Ok Cum on Ricay - but what you must realise is when you extend yourself beyond the un-educated community of Basilricay FC, you should revert to a language that the vast majority of this nation has grown up to understand, otherwise you will always get the response you have received so far. BTW what does 'Cum on Ricay' mean in your dialect??

I ask because to us English speaking peoples it can be read as something rather rude!

Before the age of printing, there was no standarised English. As nothing went into print, what was written was only seen locally and, just like dialect, there were many variations on the same theme. The printing press brought the written word to a mass audience and, suddenly, there was a need for standardisation of grammar and of spelling.

There is a new school of thought that says it's cool to go back to a non-standardised method of writing. Personally I think it comes about because it's a good excuse for not bothering to learn spelling and grammar.

I personally couldn't give a jot what form of communication cum on ricay uses - he rarely writes anything that's worth reading anyway. But I would sure like to draw up his deeds (or even his will). If he relies on arbitary English for those documents he could find himself with problems.
