Goals Galore - Or Not ?

Both teams have conceded in their previous 5 games. Could be a goal feast. How about we win 4-3. Now wouldnt that be nice!

Have you any predictions?

Cam.City

Home: Have gone 3 home games without a win

Away: Have gone 2 away games without a win

Goals: Have not kept a clean sheet in 5 games

Margate

Home: Have gone 2 home games without a win

Away: Have gone 4 away games without a win

Goals: Have not kept a clean sheet in 5 games

After giving out the above statistics in must also be said that the "gate" haven't scored in their last 3 games and Cam.City havent scored in their last 2 games.

Maybe then it could be a stalemate at 0-0.

I'll settle for a hard fought and scrappy 1-0 win. More goals would be a bonus but we havent scored in the last 3 in the league and their away record is second to none. Its all about points now not performance. Keep JK as sweeper as Ned needs the protection! Barnett should start instead of Edwards but both could be playing if oatsey still struggling. I have been critical of Gradley on this forum in the past but we really do need to beef up the midfield and if he is fit he should play at expense of Alex. Team I would have is:

HUSSAIN

OATES (IF FIT) KEISTER SMITH BARNETT BENEVIDES

BAPTISTE GRADLEY CLARKE

WATSON STADHART

SUBS: EDWARDS CHARALAMBOUS, GREEN, JJUNJU, YHDEGO <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/argue.gif" alt="" />

I think that you will not have a better chance to get the points against Cambridge than you have tomorrow.

They have a couple of important players out injured and to be honest were a bit clueless at times.

They play a lot of 'hoof it' football too. A couple of quick players running at the defence would send them into panic - I can't remember who you have in that department

Keepers good though

Good Luck

All those teams around us at the bottom end of the table are fighting for their lives and in general are picking up points against some good sides too. We have to show that resolve and really put the effort in. Really really want to win, really really give it all. With all that we have had to endure over the recent past a drop down a league would be like kicking us when we are down. Am looking for an inspiration performance from the players. We the fans have continued to praise the team throughout and today its the players turn to show their character and to give us something back.We will be behind you today so give us a well needed victory please.

I'd go with the following:

Hussein,

Benevides Barnett Keister Smith

Baptiste Gradley Clarke Charambolous

Watson Stadhart

(assumes Oates unfit-otherwise Benevides to midfield and Charambolic to sub.)

Dont really matter what we say June CK wont drop him. It will be a similar team as always.

Hussain - Oates - Smith - Keister - Benevides

Charambolous - Clarke - Stadhart - Baptiste - Jjunju-(Possibly Gradley to start in midfield.) Subs Watson,Gradley,Barnett,(and that other chap).

I really hope Rocky DOES turn it on today June. Its about time he did to be truthful. He needs a lift just like we do.

We have to pack the midfield and keep on winning the ball back when it comes out of their defense to maintain pressure on them. Relentless pressure until they fall into submission.

We can but hope can we not!

I take hope from the way Gradley played on Friday. Goals are made in midfield in the main, and his class of accuracy in passing and his strength on the ball will help us considerably if he is fit enough to start. It's easy to say risk Green as it is not our leg that needs to be brought back to match fitness before going at a full game. Coming back too quickly could risk his entire career, and I would not be willing to do that to him no matter how dire our need.

Keeping posession is the key, and not hoofing and hoping. The posession men are Clarky, Oates, Gradley, Rocky, Peter B. Let's hope they are on the game today.

I also take hope from the fact that it was a bit like this last year, and CK and the lads then dug in and ground out sufficient results to keep us safe. If CK can motivate this squad the same thing will happen this time, and I don't think there is another manager for us that could do it.

But wouldn't it be good if we could have some positives on the ground for next season and not continually have to go through this annual pain?
