Regarding the shotgun...

I'm a bit concerned about the shotgun. Aren't these things supposed to be locked up in special cabinets where children and mentally retarded Aylesbury stewards can't get at them. I'm sure failing to do so is a criminal offence.

I would say that stepping the otherside of the fence is far less of an issue than the gun. Or the spanner for that matter.

In broad terms, I agree with Trev.

However, once again an isolated incident is in danger of getting out of hand. There has been a lot of comment on here and I have just read The Chairman's programme notes. [Oh, by the way. I have read most of the posts on here and I have yet to see the miscreant achieving "near hero status" on this board. Quite the reverse. The only words of support seem to come from CZ, EFM The Voice, and the mindless one from The Fens.]

Is the talk supposed to appeal to the better nature of those tempted to enter the field of play from the terraces? If so, that's clearly a waste of time.

I assume that The Board have the right to deny anyone access to The Park. If so, why not state that anyone coming to the attention of Stewards by breaking Ground Regulations, at home or away, will be subject to a discretionary ban from Clarence Park. [it needs to be discetionary to cover miscarriages of justice such as that seen at Kingstonian last season.] The ban could be from one match to 'sine die'.

I'm sure that The Board have more important things to do than call fans to some kind of disciplinary hearing but I suggest that these things should be dealt with, firmly but fairly, and not the subject of long running debate on here or in the matchday programme.

Just to be clear. It's not for me to say what I would do relative to the pitch 'invasion' at Aylesbury if I were involved in a disciplinary process. Let the guy concerned speak. A warning may be appropriate. However, I am of the view that continual talking about the issue without positive action does [nearly!] as much harm as the incident itself.
