Questions for the meeting

Recommended Posts

Thought it might be a good idea to get a list on this forum for the open misa meeting next week.

I'll Start with the 2 questions we all want to ask.

1. Whats going on with the ground.

2. Why has the embargo not been lifted.

3. Why in the least, havent we been informed of what is/is not happening.

Am so pissed off that my work gets in the way of me being able to get to this meeting on 30th. Dad will go and he will gen me up on proceedings. Those of you that do go will tell us all what was said too I hope. It annoys me that I cant be there to ask my questions but am sure those questions will be asked anyway.

The reason the embargo has not been lifted is for the same reason the council have not signed anything, that is because there are still very serious financial matters outstanding concerning the club that still have not been resolved. There are so many things that could be said about how things have beem handled by the club but may I just say my bit.Exactly who or what is Margate Football Club? Who is the Chairman? not someone who is just acting,Who are the Directors?.These sort of people in a proper run organisation are individuals who have real clout about how things happen. There seems to be just one common denominator over the last few years in all this and that person is KP.Now I know if it was not for him then years ago the club would probably have been in a different position to when we gained promotion to the Conference, and for that he must take the praise, but unfortunately as history will show he was still around during its demise!! Because of difficulties in his private business dealings which of course have nothing to do with any of us and are not for discussion here he is prohibited from holding any sort of official position within the Club.He goes under various guises such as Project Advisor,Stadium Consultant.Rebuildig Spokesman etc,etc But imo HE IS STILL PULLING ALL THE STRINGS. There does not appear tobe any one else.I think he has done a magnificant job in misleading every one into what is going on,and I believe THE BUCK STOPS WITH HIM. When he looks at the clubs plight he should hang his head in shame. When things started to go wrong,he should have got out instead of hanging on in there grasping at threads.I am sure he is the root of the problem. What I have said is only my opinion,I have not been rude or abusive to him or anyone, but this is my reading of our very serios position. Please correct me if you thing I am wide of themark,or agree with me if you think I am close to the truth!!!

Its highly obvious who is pulling the strings. But at least we still have strings to pull. Its the immediate situation that is of more concern both off the pitch and now on the pitch. Am disappointed that we havent had a start on the ground yet and I am seriously worried about that aspect but at the end of it all we have to put our trust in those whoever it may be who are still putting in the effort and time. The meeting on 30th will tell us all what the problems are what will be happening and what can be done to progress. Its time to get behind the team AND those who you deem to remark upon.

The fight goes on. We must have faith too in those that are working hard on our behalfs and the clubs behalf. Lets keep things together.I hear what you say but now is not the time to cast judgement on anyone. Lets see how the meeting pans out first.I am as frustrated anyone but we have to believe.

[color:"blue"]Sorry to sound negative at a time when all we need is positives, but I'm afraid that the meeting will follow the same path as recent open meetings (I hope I'm wrong). KP will stand before us, with his convincing and uplifting rhetoric that everything is going OK and all would be rosy if it wasn't for the Council, but the Ground will be built on time and we're going to get it finished in no time at all. But what I'm really afraid of is that, like the other speeches it's just convincing and uplifting rhetoric and little else. I really hope I'm wrong.

Unlike other times Peter, this time if KP says all that he has to deliver, as the end of the month is on us and that was the timescale mentioned in order to get it up and ready for next year. That was a "quote" from those that are building it. There can be NO more delays after this meeting. If KP wants us to maintain that trust we put in him and the club then immediate delivery of builders needs to be done and no more stalling, otherwise we will all start to actually doubt him and his words. There is no valid reason in my book for anymore delays. Without that start NOW we will all begin to lose faith in him,his words and those of them around him. We have been extra patient and if he comes out with more delays he may find that those that trusted in him will do so no-more. This is a massively crucial meeting and his words had better include that a start within a few days is about to happen. Maybe even give us a SOLID date for starting.

"unfortunately as history will show he was still around during its demise!"

Which is more than can be said for Jim Parmenter. Funny how you don't mention him in all this.

totally agree with all that has been said especiall the last post. the whole problem arose from ripping apartOUR GROUND and the person who gave the go ahead for that must be brought to task as he should be made to put the ground back to at least what it was.i know it will never happen but it bloody well should

Parmenter isnt worth mentioning. At a public meeting maybe!

Having said that can we not keep harping on about the past. At this stage it dosent matter who was at fault and who gave the go-ahead. Its the present time we should be concerning ourselves with. We cant change what happened but we can do something about the present and the future.Thats more important than to keep bringing up old news.

Those that made the mistakes before can be brought to task at a later date, surely.

Please change the record!

Again without harping on the past.Regarding the demolition of HP and more important the digging up of the pitch.Who ever decided to go ahead with this programme of action JP, KP,or whoever,I have no doubt they did it with the best of intentions. How ever once started and in paricular concerning the actual pitch which of course is public ground, once stated digging then the council could have sent an enforcement officer in and put a stop to it straight away.SIMPLE AS THAT.But no, for whatever reason they let them get on with it and then pleadedignorance about what was happening BAA HUMBUG!!!
