Do we have a cash machine?

Do we have a cash machine in the bar? If not why not? I went to watch Dartford today (they lost 5-0 by the way) and if we had a cash machine I might have stayed to watch the england game but I didn't have enough cash.

 

Anyway I'm not moaning (well okay I am) but it we had a cash machine it could make the club a lot of money.

I think the club would have to pay a fee to have it in there.

I'd rather they spent the money on the team rather than a cash machine that could attract thieves.

Could the club offer cashback, or better, accept cards at the bar?

I think there is a charge for the card machines too. We investigated it for the shop and it was £200 a month to rent a machine and the connection to the card company. This charge was payable even during the close season.

If it's not benificial to ourselves then we shouldn't have, I was only talking about having one if a company gave us money for renting the space that the machine takes up.

There was a cash machine in the petrol station opposite the ground which was very handy.

Infact it is still there underneath a banner.

I was told the reason they have closed it was due to a dispute between the garage and the people who supplied the machine. An extension was built to house the machine, this extension is now subsiding and they are arguing about who should pay for it.

 

Perhaps we should give the garage a kick up the a*** to sort this out, it has been out of action for the last couple of seasons now.

Unlikely Harry... I read an newspaper article recently and it costs the ATM companies £20,000 to install a machine plus additional costs for servicing and filling it with cash. For the Fleet to get any commission payment there has to be something like 600 transactions per month then, for every withdrawal after that, the club would receive 10p. Not likely and hardly worth the hassle as well as the theft and vandalism that comes with it.

Look at the fun they had at Sainsburys when some herberts turned up late at night in their JCB to make a large withdrawal.

We have had trouble before at the club shop I reckon if there is nothing to nick nobody will bother breaking in.

why are you watching Dartford...unless you wanted a slight snigger as Maldon's (?)fifth goal went in ?
