1st red was deserved - Potter has himself to blame as much as the ref, as he had got 1st yellow from earlier dissent. Very silly.

 

Mind you, I dont think a second yellow was necessary for the penalty.

You watched the game today? (on the internet or at the ground?). The issue of our crowds is a joke! How many do you think were REALLY there today? I'd say 1800.....maybe if the truth was told every week then we wouldn't be such a laughing stock! I can confidently say that if the correct figure was given week in week out our average would be 25 - 30% higher than the made up, guess work b******s they actually announce.

I was there as always and estimate the attendance to be 1600/1700 and whilst on subject of crowds, thought last tuesdays against Accrington to be about 700+. ... with these lower than true crowds being issued, you're quite right, ... it does nothing for the credibility of Canvey Island football club.

I watched the game on the net. Good coverage apart from the commentator who kept insisting Potter had got straight red, and lack of replays. Otherwise my picture stuttered twice for no more than 20 seconds in total, of the whole 110 minutes I had the game online (includes half time & a bit before the game).

 

Unfortunately, the penalty & sending off, really killed the game & made the second half a non event, albeit it was unlikely that you would have even come back from 2-0 down with 10 men on the pitch.

Not what was said when Conference Football tried their first live game - at the time, it was indicated there would be a charge for future live games. Since that first game went badly wrong, there has been no further mention of a charge to be fair, but unless they get funding elsewhere, how will they cover the costs?

Cant believe that anyone could think that these games will remain free, no such thing as a free lunch, and look how SKY's prices have risen over the years.
