Who is for the drop?

Just had a look at the remaining fixtures for our immediate rivals.Without listing everything, some of the more interesting show as follows-

April 5th- Canvey at Leigh RMI whilst Northwich entertain Forest Green.

Forest Green- Assuming they lose their away matches they could find it hard at home to Barnet,Tamworth,Hereford and Canvey.

Northwich- Another hard set of away games and could be in trouble at home to Gravesend,Barnet, Aldershot and Crawley.

Farnbro'- Only have to go to Exeter,Scarbro and York, but Hereford,Carlisle,Gravesend,Tamworth and Halifax visit

York- Could be in the biggest trouble with home games to Gravesend, and the Daggers whilst visiting Accrington,Hereford,Carlisle and Farnbro'

Not over yet by any means.

Phil Old Boy posting.

Believe now we just have to look at Leigh, FRG and Boro.

Boro’s run in look’s particularly hard. I wonder if someone has their stats for the last 10-15 games or so, they have virtually picked up no points.

Leigh, assume they are too far behind.

FRG – I wonder what their away games are? If they have to play the bottom clubs then they could amass some points there and close that gap.

In all, and on paper, the other teams have got a battle on their hands as well. Trouble is though, even at this late stage, an inspired signing or two can turn round a team’s fortunes and results.

Agree with your points POB.

As I've said I think it will get worse before it gets better - its those few games in the middle that will make all the difference - Leigh, Tamworth and Scarborough.

Farnborough Post

Weird you should say this as Farnborough have signed three new players including Gavin Heroo from Grays.

As well as new signings some teams will begin to settle for their mid table position as the games whittle down - some teams will start to go through the motions.

Realistically I think we will finish about 17th or 18th but we will avoid the drop with Leigh, Farnboro and FGR going down.

Think we need another three points to be safe. Can't see Forest Green getting results against Hereford, Carlisle or Morecambe.

Bloody well hope not!! A win against Exeter on Saturday would definitely ease the pressure.

I agree with you Yellow that we need one more win to be safe. I've said for some while that 40 points should be good enough, but with the non-performance of the sides below us I think that 37 will be ok.

We must pick up one more win from somewhere surely, or at least three draws which seems to be our forte this season.

Think forest green, northwich, and farnboro' will be looking at each other rather than us. For me it's two of those three plus Leigh who would probably have to win 4 out of six to stay up, maybe more(haven't got the table handy) If we can pick up two wins at Leigh and FGR or even one win and a couple of points here and there we should be safe. Whatever, get down to all the games you can and sing your hearts out! the players will respond!!!

COME ON YOU YELLOWS!!
