all the people on here cursing the youth players off are fools! they did really well against alot more experienced opposition! could not fault one of them! saunders was brilliant but sidibe was a disgrace missed his pen aswel didn do nothin to show the kids how he can peform, but well done to the kids u were great and all you people slagging kids off your idiots and not true fleet! well done youth team last nite + jay + wilko + lovell

Er.. could you actually quote an example of any 'idiots' slagging off the kids? There was a lot of praise for what they did last night, while others were just upset Daish didn't field a full team.

 

If you can find a specific example of someone slagging off a youth player, I'd be interested to see it.

Having been one of the dozen or so hardy fans who went to Crabble, I must say that although disappointed with not playing more 1st teamers, I was impressed with the performance of the PASE lads and the other 4 regulars.I thought Matt Lovell(doing his Hoddle/Butcher impersonation)had an exceptional game and to think that as Dover played their 1st team, to equalise in extra time and tolose on penalties was no disgrace. In fact,if these lads are the future of GNFC,then the future looks rosy!

I hope so too as so far the PASE scheme has yet to provide the club with any player who has managed to claim a regular first team place. kmj.
