Youth team beat

Competitive game, and a goal worthy of any admission fee. Luckily got in for nothing.

Back on topic. The youth team played well last night fully deserved there win, I am sure it would of been more, if not for the incident in the second half. The referee was blowing up for pretty much everything to stop the game getting out of hand.

Well done to the boys for rising above the disgusting remark that was made. I just hope some action will be taken!

>>We were thinking of popping over the Arena soon. I've never been.

How much is the adult & kids' admission?

Adults £13 - kids £3 - programme £2.

There is a discount for OAPs though I am not too sure how much it is. The Arena started in 1984 prior to which it was a scrambles track - (and yes, I have the programmes to prove it).

If you do decide to go, you will often find longish queues at the spectator entrances - this is due to them having to sell three types of tickets, plus programmes, from the same entrance.

So park up, then walk towards the "officials" entrance which is about 30 yards to the right of the spectator entrance - there is very rarely any queue there (as few realise that you can get in at that entrance).

Crowds are usually 1500 to 2000 but there is plenty of room as the Arena is very large - no terracing, it is all banking, and if you go out onto the back of the stadium, watch out for rabbit holes.

Start time is 7.30 for the parade and 7.45 first race - you can get there at 7.15 and will get in easily.

Sorry for being off topic.

And for programme collectors, it is normal to fill in the programme, (unlike at football where few actually mark a programme.)

Not one hundred percent certain of this, but on the day that Hornchurch are at Weymouth, there is also speedway at Weymouth.

As the Weymouth speedway is right alongside the football stadium, so I hope the start times do not clash, as they share the same car park.

In fact the football stadium used to be the old speedway (in the 60s).

They used to be called the Weymouth Wizards - and we all know what Garry Hill's programme notes used to be called (Wizard's Words).

Well done to the U19s and a great night, I believe there might be a game next week so all you Urchins are missing out on watching a good team play good competitive football.

Well done to Paul and Alan (and JL of course)

The incident is not worth a discussion please as he knew that he'd done wrong so it's best left.

Thanks
