But surely the squad of 1924 was itself not a patch on the great "Black death" squad of 1667.

 

The utter commitment of the team made up for both a lack of skill and limbs!!

 

Surely the greatest Slough goal ever was scored by Robin of Chalvey, who not only beat all 17 opposing players, but did it having died 2 months ealier of the bubonic plague.

 

Would any of the current squad show such courage? I think not.

I went to the game last night and had a great time, although I think we played better in the 2nd half than in the first half.

 

I also persuaded my American Freind to watch, he also took part in the sinning and chanting.

We both were leaning against the railings to the right of the goal in the 2nd half, almost right in front of you, in fact I thought you might be blinded by the light reflecting off my bald patch.

 

Mike my American freind wants to try and get to another Slough game, in which I will arrange with him at a later date, although it will not be until mid April, as I am on holiday with my fiance in early April.
