Also might find it interesting to know that Heybridge had a member of the coaching staff sent off, who simply jumped into the stand and was completely removed 10-15mins later - 4th offical was pretty useless and should have made sure he went to the dressing room.

MOTM was Seedel by a country mile in my opinion.... again

looked a bit shakey to say the least in the first half but came out really wanting it more that heybridge...

but alls well that ends well! Am very excited about my first cup final!

Really poor 1st half, with only a lucky penalty for handball to show for it.

 

Better 2nd, but still shaky, especially in midfield.

 

Think we just about deserved it on the night, but Heybridge had enough chances in the final 10 mintues to win both legs and the final.

anon...the next opponent is not yet known hampton were playing chelmsford at home today in the first leg, it was 0-0 according to the hampton forum

Tom, the member of their coaching staff was actually Brian Statham, their manager, who was also one of only four named subs for them. Apart from the first fifteen to twenty minutes I think we played reasonably well, doing what we had to do and Murphy's goal was a beauty. The Seed was excellent again, as was Smurf2 and I thought Hodgy had a really good game as well. Despite all the mickey mouse cup labels, I for one can't wait to watch a competitive cup final with us in it and it will be a great finale to an excellent cup season. What we need now is some good league performances up to then to make it a great overall season.

 

BTW I think the squad of 1924 would probably have won 5-1 tonight rather than 2-1. This lot are crap and are not worthy of pulling on a Slough shirt. But thats just my opinion.
