Mate, you're wasting your life cancelling trains and farting about on non-league message boards.

Someone as politically clued-up as you (not to mention your impressive media background) should be the new Frost or Dimbleby, presenting a high-brow politics show on BBC2.

and if that doesn't work out, with his vast economic knowledge, he must be in line to be the next governor of the Bank of England.

Yeah I know. How can the Tories contemplate putting limits on the number of people coming into the country ? We can obviously support an infinite number of people coming in so what the hell they are going on about I just don't know.

Well you obviously have no real idea of the Tories policy then do you? Otherwise you'll realise you have just made a fool of yourself just like Howard did when quizzed by Paxman as he dug holes into the policy

Well the Tories policy was to put a limit on the amount of people coming into the country, except the limit was going to be higher than the amount that have actually come in. And they admitted that people would be allowed in, over the limit, if they are in danger in their own country, which is the exact same policy as we have now.

I was making refrence to your sarcastic quote about letting infinite amount of people in and you obviously trying to make out the Tories wouldn't allow this to happen

Your implication was that the Tories would stem immagration, I said you made a fool of yourself if only you knew, you obviosuly didn't know and I've outlined the policy above. Basically only a fool would believe them!

Point 2 - see above and above but one!

They have pledged to stem it ! Which was my point.
Whether they do or not is another matter entirley. I can only go by what they pledge to do.

Immigration is a positive thing, but it needs to be managed properly, and it also needs to be balanced to an extent with the number of people leaving the country.

I know they have pledged to stem it, you're missing my point, in the very next sentence when the policy was being looked into more in depth it transpired that they were just going to keep the old policy really.

1. The current policy is that you can come to this country if you're life is in danger etc in your current one!

2. Tories policy is, we wiil put a limit on the amount but if we reach that limit but you are still in danger etc in your current country then you can come in.

It's exactly the same!

Lib Dems could try and win a few votes now by saying "we'll only let 100 immagrents in a year, but obviously if people come to our shores and their life is in danger in their country we'll let them in"

They are not the same mate !

You are talking about genuine refugees, and of course we have a moral obligation to help those fleeing persecution. Therefore of course the policies in this respect are going to be very similar.

However, the Conservatives will set quotas for the number of people who can remain in Britain. They will also overhaul the whole chaotic work permit system that is currently in place. They will also actively try and remove failed asylum seekers from the country.

Is this the same as your beloved Labour policy then ?

Unfortunantly I think that you can't just chuck people out of the country, there is this whole human rights issue. I am all for chucking them out if they shouldn't be here.

Labour try and actively try and remove failed asylum seekers as well, they don't just allow them to stay, finding them is the hard part, why would the tories be any better at it?

Work permits have been covered in another post

As for my beloved Labour - 1) I'm not really sure what their policy is so I'm not going to insult you by trying to explain it, I was picking holes in a rather shabby Toty policy - 2) I don't vote Labour anymore!

Of course you can. If they legally aren't meant to be here then you deport them. Simple as mate.

Labour don't try as hard as the Conservatives have pledged to do so.

I couldn't agree more finding them is the hard part and there is no reason why the Conservatives will be better at doing so.

However, by processing asylum claims abroad the Conservatives can prevent the current situation that Labour have let get out of control become even more out of hand.

Please tell me in what way it is shabby ? It all seems pretty fair to me.
What would you do then to solve this burning issue ?

Who do you vote now then ?
