Supporter of the year award

Just wondererd if the club will be having a supporters of the year award.

My vote would probably/definatly go the guy with the horn.

He hasn't missed a game for 2 whole seasons including tuesday nights to Leigh, Shrewsbury and Weston Super Mare.

He travels around a 40 mile round trip to all home games, (lives down in Maidstone).

He has to be a good contender for it!

There is one, and only one candidate, and that is my brother Ian (jc). He has to commute from Southampton University, yet the only games he has missed this season are away to Morecambe and Eastbourne. Anyone care to beat that..?

christ if he does that then he deserves it.

So we have 3 or 4 main contenders,

Guy with Horn, who hasn't missed a game for 2 seasons running and travels 40 or 50 miles round trip to home games.

Kenny who goes to every game, I think he said he missed 1 or 2 last season and just maybe 1 this season.

Ian (jc)- who travels from Southampton for every game.

Anyone else?

My friend Dave flew down from Scotland twice a month to catch all the home games he could this season, he must be worth a nod. Saying that though, he's now sodded off to Australia for a year and hasn't made it back once, so he deserves nothing!

Ive got one: A steward at the club who's supported the fleet all his young life, who answered a plea from the Public Address three and a half seasons ago for more stewards, so now instead of watching the games from the halfway line, he has the very enjoyable task of putting up with the ME ME ME attitude of you loyal fans the 'I'm so much more ****ing important than you are, so much more that i don't have to abbide by the RULES!! that the FA have set the club to follow so the club can continue in the conference, let alone be allowed in the Coca Cola league' and the 'i'm not removing my bottle cap because i WANT the club to get fined money they haven't got'.

And getting called here there and everywhere in freezing rain or blistering heat for the pittance he gets paid, while you moan moan moan about how badly the clubs run by those usless brainless ****ers in the orange or flourecents.

And yet, he's always got a smile on his face and shares a laugh with the home AND away supporters whilst going about his business of keeping YOU safe and YOUR club in this league.

He's got my vote!

My vote goes to the lad who went through the kids gate on Saturday & paid a fiver and then stood outside the bar drinking a beer !!

He was spotted by the Stewards though.....something like, in true Dick Turpin fashion " your money or your beer" !!

Admire his style though........

Laugh ? I nearly bought an extra round !!

Cheers,

People on the gate never seem to bother. I know loads of people who get admission and a couple of beers for less then a tenner. I try it every game and have been successful on many occasions.
