Don't place any hopes on Slough Library.

 

They put up a fixtures poster in early July, but took it down before the start of the season. When asked why, the reply was that they get so many posters that they can only keep the most recent up.

 

I should have pointed out that some of the posters they had up included ones for:

 

Colonic irrigation.(Could be of use to some of the councillors though)

 

A flower competition that ended 3 months earlier.

 

A dance school (the poster was still on display 2 weeks ago)

 

Probably not Stokes direct fault, but it shows how unhelpful all arms of the council are.

Indeed, but if it is held in Hornchurch I can't see anyone being enticed to slogging halfway round the m25 on a bank holiday monday for a second rate cup final

After speaking to Roy on Saturday he has been informed that depending on who is in the final it may be played BEFORE April 30th so as not to conflict with the play offs.

It is incorrect. It was never confirmed, merely proposed, and now looks unlikely for that date.

Just a few hours to go to a cup semi final and this board is quiet as a church-yard. Is it nerves or that it's just 'the mickey Mouse cup'.

Have our good runs in FA and Trophy taken the edge off or are people scared to say they are looking forward to tonight in case they get shot down by the 'Wilf Pickles and none of the 1956 Bovril Cup winners would have got out of bed to play in this one' brigade.
